Koffa Edwin Abio

“Koffa” is salaried by Kupenda for the children to work fulltime at the Gede special needs school. He works with children with a variety of physical impairments but most of the physical disabilities he works with are related to the effects of cerebral palsy. He works with children that reside at the Gede special needs boarding facility in the mornings. In the afternoons he has also works with other disabled children in the community. He is nicknamed “doctari” because he does so much for all the children he works with. Children have literally been carried in to see him and are now walking because of the work he does. He does the work of physical therapist, occupational therapist, doctor, nurse, orthopedist and craftsman.
