Kupenda for the children

Lynne Granz

Lynne began volunteering for Kupenda after her first trip to Kenya in 2009. Currently she
puts together new sponsorship packets and sends out progress reports to sponsors. Lynne
has been involved in a number of local fundraising projects and has spoken on behalf of
Kupenda with school children, churches, and a women’s Bible study. This past summer,
she helped two churches raise monies for Kupenda during their Vacation Bible School.

Lynne sponsors two children with Kupenda at the Gede Special School in Kenya, Najibu
Jefwa and Saidi Omar. While in Kenya, Lynne taught at the Gede Special School and
worked in the office.

Lynne is married to Dan, has two adult sons and resides in Massachusetts. Lynne
graduated from Gordon College with a Spanish and Secondary Education degree. She
also has a Masters in Spanish from Middlebury College. Lynne taught in Christian
Schools for 20 years and was involved in the start-up of a new Christian high school in
Massachusetts. After teaching she worked as a Children’s Director for 8 years in her
church. Lynne stopped working in December 2008 so that she could volunteer in the
community and travel abroad on mission trips.
