Happy Kahindi
Before

Happy Kahindi joined the cerebral palsied unit at the Gede school in the year 2004. When he first came to the school he could not even lift one of his lower limbs. He had to be carried into the school. His mother used to carry him on her back all the time. Swallowing of food was a problem and took his mother hours to feed him. The mother had 0ther children to attend too and Happy was malnourished and sad looking with no speech. The physical therapist designed many exercises to overcome his disabilities and his teachers taught him basic communication skills.
After

Happy is now able to walk very fast on his own with only the assistance of one crutch. He can also feed on his own and communicate with gestures. He loves to interact and play with other children at the school.
The child who one had no ability to walk now runs into his mother’s arms when she comes to pick him up to go home for holidays and weekends.
