"Cynthia is an energetic woman full of love and compassion for all people. She had a desire to help children in Kenya with tuition for special schools, medical supplies, and prayer. One day she brought a list of children that needed help to our church small group. $90 a year was such a small price to pay for a child’s education. I immediately signed up to help Sanita Mkare. Since then I have watched her grow. Through my support she has excelled in school and has received a well needed hearing aid. I have also been able to help her not only with her needs but with her wants through gifts of a school bag, journal, markers, etc. This has given me great joy. I wanted to help in some small way, a child who would not otherwise have an opportunity to learn, feel secure, or feel loved. It makes me feel glad that God has endowed us with the means to do this. "I am an Air Force dentist currently living on the little island of Guam. I take an interest in Kupenda for many reasons. God has blessed me with the opportunity and ability to provide a service that is much needed in developing nations throughout the world. Dental services are unavailable to the children attending schools sponsored by Kupenda. I am also a nature and travel photographer. My committment is to provide financial support to Kupenda to see that the basic needs of the children are met day to day. My desire for the near future is to contribute my time and skills, both dental and photographic, to serve the children. It's exciting to be a part of a new organization, headed by a woman with a genuine heart for the people and with a vision that may grow from Africa to reach handicapped children of Asia and South America. I'm looking forward to seeing what God has planned. My expectations are high!"
