Prayer and fast for Kupenda Day

Hi Kupenda supporters!

As many of you know, the political situation in Kenya has caused some difficulties for Kupenda's activities.  The idea of prayer and fasting may be something you are unfamiliar with but we wanted to provide an opportunity for a day that many of us can join together to do this with the focus on Kupenda and the political situation in Kenya.

February 27th we will have a corporate day of prayer and fasting for the political situation in Kenya and how it is impacting Kupenda. I hope that you all can join us in thought and prayer at 7:30AM to 8:30AM Eastern Standard Time in the US on the morning of Wednesday the 27th of February. The children of Kupenda along with the staff, teachers and community members will all be praying at the same time, meaning 3:30PM to 4:30PM Kenyan time. I know some of you are in Europe so you should be praying at 12:30PM to 1:30PM in England anyway. I realize you can probably do the math but thought I'd attempt to help you out.

Here are some suggestions of things to pray about concerning Kupenda and the political situation:

That there will be peace in Kenya
The political situation will be resolved
Tribal animosity will cease
Roads will be safe
Kenya will be safe enough for tourism to return
The children of Kupenda will get the education they need
The children of Kupenda will get the medical care they need
Children with disabilities in the community that are currently being neglected would be cared for
Children with disabilities in the community would be discovered and taken to school
Children with disabilities in the community will not go hungry
Children with disabilities in the community will be protected until they can be found by the people who can give them what they need
Parents of children with disabilities will recognize the gifts that their children have and truly love them
The community as a whole would have their eyes opened to God's call to serve these children
Leonard will have the strength and wisdom to carry on the activities he needs to do for Kupenda while still being there for his family.
Rev. Mangi can enable his church to further assist the children with disabilities in their congregation
We can find an assistant for our Occupational Therapist, Koffa, who is overworked
The funds needed to do what is needed will come in
I'll be able to balance and prioritize the work of Kupenda with wisdom
That we would be able to focus on the next needed steps to do what needs to be done with Kupenda
Kupenda will continue to be God's and not mine
